The Cape Breton Museums Network
needs volunteers and supporters!

Something to live by:

The Paradoxical Commandments

Present staff:

The Cape Breton Museums Network
currently has no full-time staff.
It is entirely run by volunteers,
with the occasional and precious support
of some good friends.

Claude Michèle Desaulniers, Ph.D.,
who registered the Network in July 2001.

Below, her picture taken from a few years ago
(she hasn't changed a bit!)

Claude Michèle Desaulniers CBMN.jpg

Claude has been living in Cape Breton Island for many years. She is keenly interested in Cape Breton's museums and in the museum community, and she wants to help in every way possible.

Claude holds a Masters Degree in Museology (UQAM/Université de Montréal), a Honours Degree in Art History (Université Laval) and a Certificate in Heritage Preservation (UCCB/Fortress of Louisbourg), as well as a B.Ed./Teacher's Certificate with a specialization in Art History.

She is also a Certified Translator (C. Tr.) and a linguist (Ph.D.). In this capacity and also as a researcher, documentalist and editor, she has worked for several Canadian museums. She is offering her services to museums and heritage organizations as a consultant, and a volunteer.
